The primary objective of the HHR / Player Services Supervisor is to ensure Guest who enter our facility enjoy their selves. If guest enjoy playing our Historical Racing Terminals this will inadvertently lead to profitability. You are to ensure that HHR and Player Services teams pay attention to servicing our guest. Along with encouraging the guest to play with a Red Mile Rewards card so they can reap the benefits. Having fun while you work, enjoying guest and motivating employees to do their best work will be necessary. Essential Duties:


  • Train subordinates in order to conform to minimum standards, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that staff maintain a pleasant and friendly attitude at all times.
  • Plan and co-ordinate promotional activities with other department leadership.
  • Actively promote the department with regular contact and communication with customers.
  • Manage, direct and supervise all departmental staff.
  • Assist the department leadership as required in order to ensure that the schedules for staffing adequately reflects the needs of the business.
  • Responsible for the training and day to day supervision of all staff.
  • Coordinate tasks and delegate daily responsibilities to subordinates.
  • Assist in the detection and development of staff with potential for promotion and record their progress.
  • Conduct interviews with applicants for positions within the department.
  • Ensure that quality staff are recruited and maintained at all levels.
  • Enforce and oversee that disciplinary and grievance procedures are adhered to, in accordance with company policy.
  • Analyze and coordinate working schedules to maximize productivity and efficiency of staff.


Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):


  • High School degree or G.E.D. required, college degree preferred.
  • Experience leading and managing a team required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, enjoy and create a team environment.
  • Must be able to communicate in English; Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are required. 
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays, as well as flexible shifts and hours due to business needs.
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills; position requires constant interaction with customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.


Physical Requirements:


The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs., while performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, knee, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.
